What to visit
Walking through the historic center you can see both numerous churches that testify to the importance that religion has had for the country and historic buildings and various historic buildings. Among the first stand out the Cathedral, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore whose facade, built in stone, is almost entirely occupied by the imposing bell tower, along via Modesto della porta is the church of Santa Maria del Carmine.
